Following the success of the Symposium on Economic Diversification, hosted by the government of Equatorial Guinea in Malabo last month, Prime Minister Vicente Ehate Tomi has been interviewed by the media on the impact of the conference on the country’s investment climate.
In his interview, Prime Minister Ehate Tomi notes that Equatorial Guinea was ranked by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as one of the strongest economies of 2013, with a growing investment sector. He attributes this to Equatorial Guinea’s determination to implement economic development programmes, as well as planned improvements in support of foreign investors.
Prime Minister Ehate Tomi also discussed the transparency initiatives Equatorial Guinea is involved in, including the country’s registration with the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, which are opening-up Equatorial Guinea to investors, businesses and travellers from around the world.
