On 31 October, the Government of Equatorial Guinea announced that they have signed the third amendment to the Contract for Production, together with Ophir Energy and GEPetrol, of the Block R project offshore Equatorial Guinea. This step begins the development of one of the first projects of its kind on the African continent, which also includes a new vessel for a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) plant.
