Malabo, June 8, 2016 – The Equatorial Guinea oil and gas licensing round lands in London on June 21, 2016 for the Africa Assembly, hosted by the Oil & Gas Council. Key officials of the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy (MMIE), including H.E. the Minister Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima, Minister of Mines Industry, will be present at the 3-day conference to promote the bidding round, dubbed EG Ronda 2016. The Minister will also participate in a panel session to discuss major projects in Equatorial Guinea, including Fortuna FLNG.

“The Africa Assembly is an unparalleled venue for meeting senior executives in upstream and oil and gas finance,” said the Minister. “We look forward to welcoming the interest of prospective investors and continuing Equatorial Guinea’s proud heritage of discovering and developing world-class oil and gas assets.”

EG Ronda 2016 launched on June 6, 2016 at the Africa Oil & Power conference and will conclude on November 30, 2016. The MMIE invites bids on all open acreage outside of blocks under direct negotiation. After the Africa Assembly, the bidding round promotional tour moves to Singapore, Istanbul and Houston.
