Equatorial Guinea has been named host of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place from 17 January to 8 February. The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Issa Hayatou, visited President Obiang to ask his country to host the competition. The President agreed to this proposal, providing Equatorial Guinea the opportunity to build upon its experience as co-host of the 2012 tournament with neighbouring Gabon.Flag of Equatorial Guinea
