Equatorial Guinea participates in the 25th Session of the UN Human Rights Council

Alfonso Nsue Mokuy, Third Deputy Prime Minister for Human Rights in Equatorial Guinea, is leading a delegation from the government at this month’s Session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The Session began on Monday 3 March in Geneva and will continue until 28 March. The Equatoguinean delegation also includes Evangelina Filomena Oyo Ebule, Minister of Justice, Religious Affairs and Penitentiary Institutions, and Manuel Mba Nchama, Director-General of Human Rights and the Permanent Mission of Equatorial Guinea to the Office of the UN.

In his speech to the Council, Deputy Prime Minister Mokuy reitered the commitment of Equatorial Guinea’s government to the promotion and maintenance of human rights across the world. He also emphasised Equatorial Guinea’s close working relationship with the UN, appealing to all member states to ensure that human rights are protected for future generations.
