The Republic of Equatorial Guinea permanent mission before the United National Organisation has attended the official outgoing ceremony for the General Secretary, the South Korean Ban Ki-moon, at the institution’s headquarters in New York. The Ambassador Permanent Representative, Anatolio Ndong Mba, was also present at the farewell.

The ceremony, which took place in the city of New York, featured a massive turnout by accredited diplomatic personnel before the UN headquarters. Members of the headquarters toasted Ban Ki-moon with warm applause for the work undertaken during his ten years at the head of the organisation.
The applause moved the ex General Secretary, who resumed his speech by saying “thank you and thank you”.
Before finally getting into his vehicle with his wife, accompanied by the President of the Assembly, Peter Thomson, Ban Ki-moon shook the hands of all the diplomats present, including those from the Equatoguinean representation,
